Why does my ISBN start with 979?

Your ISBN starts with 979, which is fully valid. The 979 range was introduced as 978 numbers ran out, and all major retailers and platforms accept it.

All our ISBNs come from a block with the 979 prefix. They're standard 13-digit ISBNs and work the same way as ISBNs starting with 978.
