Can I use an ISBN for a card deck or other non-book product?

Yes. Bowker registers every ISBN under a medium: print, ebook or audio. A product that isn't a standard book, such as a boxed card set, is registered as Print / Paperback. That's correct, not an error.

Like any other format, each product needs its own ISBN.

To register it, see Register your book.
