Can I use my own imprint?

It depends on the platform. Books you register in our portal use exactly "Staten House" in the imprint field. If you don't register your book with us, you can enter your own imprint on the platform where you publish. Amazon KDP accepts this. Other platforms decide for themselves, so it's a workaround rather than a guarantee.

If your own imprint matters to you, this is the route we recommend. The trade-off is that a book you don't register with us won't appear on Bookwire and can't have a My Book Profile page.

Your own imprint can't be the publisher of record on the ISBN itself: that's Staten House, on every ISBN we assign. We no longer offer custom imprints.
