Do I own my ISBN?
Nobody owns an ISBN the way you own property: it's a number that identifies your book. National ISBN agencies issue ISBNs in blocks to publishers, and the publisher assigns a number to each book. Under International ISBN Agency rules, an ISBN then stays with the book it's assigned to and can't be sold, re-assigned or transferred.
Your book stays yours. We don't own the copyright to your work, and we don't take any royalties from your book.
