Why isn’t my book showing up for format linking?

When linking different formats of your book (e-book, paperback, audiobook), you may notice that not all of your books appear in the dropdown. Here are the most common reasons:

1. The book must be active on My Book Profile

Only books with My Book Profile turned on will appear in the format linking dropdown.

If a book is inactive, you can activate its profile under the My Book Profile tab on the Book Details page.

2. Title and subtitle must match

By default, only books with the same title and subtitle will show up in the format linking dropdown.

If your books have slight differences (for example, a missing or added subtitle), check the box “Show books with different titles” in the linking popup to display them.

3. The book may already be linked

A book that is already linked to another format will not appear in the dropdown.

To check, open the book’s profile page, switch to the My Book Profile tab and look at the formats section.

To unlink it:

• On desktop, hover over the format indicator and click the red ×
• On mobile, tap the format to disconnect it

4. Start from the right book

Format linking only works from within an existing group. If you want to add a book to a group, make sure you start the process from a book that is already part of that group.
