How does copyright registration work?

We register your book with the US Copyright Office for $150, including the Copyright Office filing fee. We file within 48 hours once we have everything we need.

To order, go to the Marketplace in the portal, click Learn More on Copyright Filing, then click Continue to Checkout. After you pay, we contact you within 24 hours to start.

1. Send us your manuscript. Unpublished and unfinished works are accepted.
2. We review the file and ask you questions if needed.
3. You give us your name or pen name, your address and other personal details, and sign the authorization form digitally.
4. We file with the US Copyright Office and submit your deposit copies electronically.

The $150 includes the filing fee of $65, or $45 when the Single Application applies.
